Contact NowWhat is the use of multilayer PCB?
Printed circuit boards are now the most important entity in electronic products. The traditionally used PCB is very simple and limited to a single layer. With the development of high-frequency electronic technology, the wide application of high frequency boards, the emergence of Surface-Mount (SMT) &BGA Assembly, and the fast requirements of PCB Assembly products, today's PCBs are very complex and are called multi-layer PCBs. Those PCBs with limited functions are single-layer, while those with multiple functions are composed of multiple layers. The exquisite PCB is used for the main board and so on. Multilayer PCB has now become the core component of complex electronic circuits.
A multilayer PCB can be defined as a PCB made with 2 or more foil conductive layers. Conductive foil appears to be the various layers of a multi-sided circuit board. The different layers are laminated together and then glued together, but with an insulating layer between the layers for thermal protection. Place the layers in such a way that both sides of the PCB are on the surface. Vias are the source of electrical connections between different layers of a multilayer PCB. Due to the expansion of the electronics industry, people feel the need for 4-layer PCBs and higher-layer PCBs. Over time, PCB problems such as noise, crosstalk and stray capacitance have also been solved, and these days PCBs do not have all these problems. The best part is that the PCB now has a complex design and wonderful routing, which makes it attractive in electronic devices.
Advantages of 4-layer and higher-layer PCBs
The following are the key advantages of multilayer PCBs.
Small size: The small size makes these PCBs very important because the size of the technology and electrical and electronic devices are getting smaller and smaller. The layered design of PCB provides a smaller size for electronics and electronic devices, such as Rigid-Flex Boards used in computers, smartphones, tablets, wearable devices, and laptops.
As mentioned above, 4-layer PCBs and higher-layer PCBs are smaller in size, so these PCBs are good for contemporary gadgets.

Durability: Layered PCBs are durable because they can not only withstand huge weight, but also withstand high temperatures (Aluminum base board). There is always insulation between the different layers in these PCBs to provide protection from damage.
