What's the difference between high-bay and low-bay luminaires?

---Both high-bay and low-bay luminaires are used to illuminate large areas and are mounted on high ceilings to provide stronger light while reducing glare.

---The main difference between high-bay and low-bay luminaires is the ceiling height. Low bay luminaires are only suitable for ceilings between 12 and 20 feet high. High-bay luminaires can illuminate ceilings 20-45 feet high.

---The intensity of their light is also different. Low-bay luminaires are less than 100 watts, while high-bay luminaires can exceed 100 watts. 

---Because of the low height of the low bay luminaire, its light loss is also low, so it can illuminate without as much power.

---Low-bay luminaires have reflectors or lenses to spread the light and reduce glare. High-bay luminaires require special aluminium reflectors to direct light down to the floor, or prismatic components to diffuse light and illuminate shelving and other overhead objects.
