What are the types of sensor lights?
There are a variety of motion sensors on the market, but they all fall into these two categories: active motion sensors and passive motion sensors. The most common active motion sensors are ultrasonic motion sensors. Ultrasonic motion sensors emit sound waves to detect the presence of objects. There are also microwave motion sensors (which emit microwave radiation) and tomographic motion sensors (which send and receive radio waves). Passive motion sensors are the opposite of active sensors, passive motion sensors don't have a transmitter, they don't emit anything, they just detect infrared energy. The most widely used type of passive motion sensor is the passive infrared (PIR) sensor.
Our Sensor Lights are available in a variety of styles including LED Batten Light, LED Tri-proof Light and Slim Track linear lights. Both can add active and passive sensors, such as microwave motion sensors and PIR.
