What is power factor and why is it important?

Power factor is a coefficient that measures the efficiency of electrical equipment. The low power factor indicates that the circuit uses a large amount of useless power to convert the alternating magnetic field, which reduces the utilization rate of the equipment and increases the power supply loss of the line.
