Product Description
Product Description

In non-contact machining, laser cutting has the advantages of high energy and controllable density. The laser beam is focused to form high energy density spots, which has a wide range of applications in machining. In order to adapt to different situations, laser cutting mainly has four different cutting methods.

It has the advantages of fast speed, high efficiency, one molding, smooth section, and so on, and has been widely used in industry. Four common laser cutting methods, do you know?

One, melting cutting

When the laser is irradiated on the surface of the metal material, the heat energy of the laser will melt quickly and blow away the metal which is fused with nitrogen, argon, helium, and other coaxial high-pressure inert gas to form a slit. Compared with evaporation cutting, melt cutting can save a lot of energy, often used in stainless steel, titanium, aluminum, and its alloys and other metals that are not easy to oxidize.

Two, vaporization cutting

The use of extremely high power density of the optical emitter material, in a very short time to vaporize the material, the steam will be blown out of the surface of the material, forming the cutting. Heating the material to the evaporation temperature requires much more energy than melting it, so evaporative cutting consumes more energy than melting cutting. Evaporative cutting is mostly used for very thin metal and non-metallic materials, such as plastic, wood, etc.

Three, oxygen cutting

Oxygen, as an accelerant, can be heated by a laser onto molten metal, resulting in a large amount of oxidation heat, so that, in fact, oxygen cutting is the "aerobic" version of molten cutting. Because of the heat generated by metal combustion, oxygen cutting is more energy efficient than melt cutting and vaporized cutting, but the cutting speed is much faster than melt cutting. Oxygen cutting is mainly used for carbon steel, titanium steel, and other easily oxidized metal cutting.

Four, slice and control fracture cutting

The cutter uses a high-energy density laser to scan the surface of the brittle material. The material is heated and evaporated to form a small groove. Absolute pressure is applied to the material to make the brittle material crack along the groove. Controlled breaking refers to the steep temperature distribution generated by the laser groove, which creates local thermal stress in the brittle material, causing the material such as glass cutting to crack along the small notch.
