Product Description
Product Description
Turcite® A is an internally lubricated, acetal-based thermoplastic. It is available in turquoise and suited for moderate loads and speeds. Turcite® A is ideal for applications with high wear and friction requirements. It has minimal hygroscopic characteristics and low thermal expansion properties, offering high structural stability. It performs well under vibratory and dynamic loading and is easily machined. Turcite® A also offers outstanding service life, continuous maximum temperatures of 180°F and is more wear resistant than its counterpart, Turcite® X.

Long Service Life
Due to Turcite® A's low water absorption, its applications retain their integrity throughout their life span, making it so that you'll spend less time and money replacing parts and products.

Low Coefficient of Friction
Turcite® A offers an extremely low Coefficient of Friction (COF), due in part to its specialized self-lubricating formula. The sliding advantage produced from the dry lubricant generates a smoother, quieter operation without the need of extra product. It also ensures improved sliding behavior by offering a near-zero level of slip-stick and by eliminating backsliding issues that occur in parts that experience high-pressure conditions.

Color
Turcite® A is offered in turquoise, offering a look that is visually attractive and distinct.

About Turcite®

Turcite ® A & X are acetal based enhanced plastics with proprietary additives available in rod.  The Turcite® Rod family of self-lubricating materials exhibit: low water absorption, dimensional stability, high wear resistance and chemical and corrosion resistance.

Turcite® B Slydway® is a low friction enhanced PTFE available in skived rolls that are etched one side.  Turcite® B Slydway® increases accuracy, reduces damage caused by mechanical breakdowns and lubrication failures, extends the life of mechanical components, saves energy, and improves stick slip performance.

Turcite ® A is a self-lubricating Acetal-based thermoplastic bearing material. Turcite ® A is suitable for moderate to heavy loads at moderate speeds. It performs well under vibratory and dynamic loading and is readily machinable. It is recommended for a maximum continuous service temperature of 180°F (80°C). It is BLUE in color.

Turcite ® X is a self-lubricating Acetal-based thermoplastic bearing material. Turcite ® X excels in low load and high speed applications, and can be easily machined. It has minimal hygroscopic characteristics and possesses low thermal expansion properties, resulting in a structurally stable material. Its maximum continuous service temperature is also 180°F (80°C). It is RED in color.
