Polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), known as polyphenylene sulfide, the English name for Polyphenylene sulfide, referred to as PPS (hereinafter referred to as polyphenylene sulfide or PPS). The molecular structure of Polyphenylene sulfide is relatively simple, the main chain of the molecule is arranged by alternating benzene rings and sulfur atoms, a large number of benzene rings give Polyphenylene sulfide rigidity, and a large number of sulfur ether bonds provide flexibility. The molecular structure is symmetric, easy to crystallize, non-polar, good electrical properties, non-absorbent.

PPS's outstanding properties are: good heat resistance, can be used in the temperature range of 200-240 ℃; corrosion resistance close to PTFE; excellent electrical properties; excellent mechanical properties; good flame retardant properties; good dimensional stability of the products can be processed in a variety of processing and molding methods processing, and can be precision molding.

Pure PPS is rarely used alone because of its brittle properties, and the application of PPS is mostly for its modified performance varieties. Specifically: glass fiber reinforced PPS, glass fiber reinforced PPS, carbon fiber reinforced PPS, etc..
