White POM rods application areas

Suitable for making sliding parts, precision machinery parts and water-resistant parts, such as: bearings, gears, impellers, cams, bushings, washers, guides, handles, handles, etc., materials for jigs. Gaskets, rails, handles, handles, etc., materials for jigs.

 

Disadvantages: not resistant to acid, especially not resistant to mineral acids, not resistant to ultraviolet rays, no self-extinguishing, can not be close to the fire, not resistant to impact.

POM-C/H (black, white)

Representing POM copolymer and POM homopolymer respectively, POM copolymer has low melting point, thermal stability, chemical resistance, flow characteristics, hydrolysis resistance, resistance to strong alkali and thermal oxidation degradation, processability is better than the homopolymerization of paraformaldehyde. POM homopolymer has high crystallinity, creep, thermal expansion is lower, abrasion resistance, mechanical strength, rigidity, heat distortion temperature, etc. than the copolymerization of paraformaldehyde is better. (Currently on the market POM semi-finished products commonly used POM-C copolymer)

 

POM-H+PTFE (dark brown)

It is made of DuPont POM (DELRIN) raw material plus PTFE fiber extrusion. It retains most of the inherent strength of POM-H. There are some performance changes due to the addition of PTFE fibers, which are slightly softer, less rigid, and more slippery than pure POM. Compared with pure POM sheet, this material has better lubricity. Bearings made of POM-H+PTFE have a medium coefficient of friction, are wear-resistant, and are basically free of creep.

 

Main Characteristics

 

Polyformaldehyde is a kind of smooth surface, glossy hard and dense material, light yellow or white, high crystallinity, good coloring, size claimed to be fixed, water absorption is very small.

 

Mechanical properties

Polyformaldehyde has high hardness and steel, high resistance to creep and stress relaxation, excellent wear resistance, self-lubrication, and fatigue, which is not comparable to other engineering plastics.

 

Thermal properties

Acetal has high heat distortion temperature, can be used for a long time in the temperature range of -40℃-104℃.

 

Electrical properties

Its dielectric loss and dielectric constant in a wide range of frequencies and temperatures change very little, maintain a good arc resistance.

 

Chemical properties

Polyformaldehyde has good resistance to solvents, oils, weak acids, weak bases and other properties.

 

Polyformaldehyde has excellent physical, mechanical, thermal and electrical properties, resistance to organic solvents, abrasion resistance, creep resistance, fatigue resistance, etc. It is widely used in place of various non-ferrous metals and alloys to make automobile, machinery, instrumentation, agricultural machinery, chemical parts.
