Product Description
Product Description
TECASINT 6032 black Graphite modified polyimide for Direct Forming
TECASINT 6032 black is a highly filled graphite type from Ensinger's 6000 series. Like all materials in this series, TECASINT 6032 black is based on a non-meltable polyimide plastic and is processed exclusively in the direct forming process. In the glass industry, the polyimide TECASINT 6032 black can increase service life and productivity and reduce scrap. Especially in hot glass handling, the extremely high temperature resistance in combination with the low thermal conductivity and the high wear resistance offer great advantages. Typical applications are found in the production of glass bottles for the beverage industry, high-quality cosmetic packaging for perfumes and in the production of pharmaceutical packaging for medicines and vaccines.
High fracture strength, good toughness and low oil absorption are further advantages in addition to the very good machinability without dust formation, especially in comparison to components made of graphite. For tribological applications in mechanical engineering, the automotive industry and aerospace, this PI polymer is used for components with tight tolerances where a low coefficient of thermal expansion is important.
