Ultra-high molecular weight (UHMW) SIMONA® PE 1000

Simona UHMWPE sheets are an Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene, premium plastic product offering an extremely high level of wear and abrasion resistance to metals and other materials. This is primarily thanks to the low coefficient of friction properties. What is more, the temperature range for products within this category is very high, between -260 °C and +80 °C

SIMONA® PE 1000 For maximum wear resistance

The extremely wear-resistant, ultra-high molecular weight (UHMW) SIMONA® PE 1000 can be used to improve the economic efficiency and performance of conveying systems. This is why the material is very popular with designers of food processing, packaging and filling facilities.

For plant operators, loud noises, wear on contact parts or over-elongated chains are often problems that can also result in occasional production standstills. SIMONA® PE 1000 is the material of choice to prevent expensive downtimes.

In the EU and USA there are various directives and laws governing materials that come into contact with foodstuffs. SIMONA® PE 1000 is suitable for direct contact with food and also meets the requirements of the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).

The Product Group is PE 1000. PE 1000 plastics are high grade engineering plastics and ideal for machined components which are subject to high demands, featuring high abrasion resistance and wear resistance.
