After purchasing optical elements, effective maintenance can maintain their quality and prolong their service life.

1、 Cleaning products:
Some cleaning products and methods that can be used depend on the type of optical products to be cleaned and the nature of care needs, from dust removal to surface application. Such products as Polyester Tipped Swabs,Cleanroom Polyester Swab,Sterile Polyester Tipped Applicators,Flat Rectangular Head Swab, tweezers, gloves, compressed air, lens paper, dust-free cloth, lens cleaning agents, reagent grade propanol, reagent grade acetone and deionized water (pure water) are helpful to extend the product life.

2、 Cleaning method

Dust is the most common pollutant and can usually be removed with compressed air. If further cleaning is required, hold it with lens paper and use reagent grade isopropanol, reagent grade acetone or lens cleaning solution for several drops.

Reflector
After the dirt and dust are blown off with compressed air, the drag cleaning method can be used to remove fingerprints or other contaminants on the mirror.

3. Filter
The filter can be cleaned in the same way as the lens or reflector. The preferred method is to use compressed air or a blower to remove dust. If additional cleaning is required, use a Polyester Cleanroom Swabs or lens paper soaked in reagent grade isopropyl alcohol, reagent grade acetone or lens cleaning solution.

4. Grating
Due to the structure of diffraction grating, the only recommended cleaning method is to use compressed air or blower to remove the dust on the surface. Avoid any direct contact on the grating surface. Do not use ultrasonic cleaning because it may separate the grating surface from the glass substrate.

III 5 tips for keeping any optical product in good condition:
Always handle the edges of optical products and do not touch their surfaces with your fingertips. The moisture on your fingertips will sometimes damage the optical film. If the fingerprint remains on the optical surface for a long time, it can become a permanent stain. Even if you wear gloves, avoid touching optical surfaces.
