A surface mount battery holder is designed to sit flat on any internal or external panel or plate, either around or inside the device being powered, and is generally open-faced.

Holders of this type are most often seen as a mounting solution for coin-type batteries with button terminal contacts, in applications where the cell doesn’t need to be connected directly to a PCB.

The nominal voltage of the lithium manganese one-time button battery is 3V, the termination voltage is 2V, and the typical working current is 0.1-0.2mA. It uses manganese dioxide with very stable chemical properties as the positive electrode material, and lithium metal with very high specific energy as the negative electrode material. The average annual capacity reduction is not more than 2%, and the storage life is long. The battery adopts a semi-sealed structure and is safe to use. The lithium manganese disposable button battery has a wide temperature adaptation range and can work normally under the conditions of -20 to +60 degrees Celsius. It is mostly used in electronic dictionaries, motherboard CMOS batteries, watches and so on.
