1、Introduction

Reliability testing of the battery holder base consists of a swept sinusoidal vibration (10-50-10 hertz (Hz)) test for one hour in each quadrature axis with no battery displacement and no more than 10 microseconds ( ms) loss of contact continuity. The devices were also subjected to a half-sine shock test of 150 g, including three shocks in each direction in each axis, for a total of 18 shock pulses, with no evidence of any physical damage to the device. The final mechanical environmental test was a one-meter drop test, and again, the battery cells did not shift.

With larger 12V batteries, in particular, it’s less common to need more than one at a time, and they’re generally built more intrinsically into the device or equipment being powered than other types of ‘snap in/out’ batteries designed for frequent and quick replacement.
