This is a three pin Bi-color LED lamp. As you the name, there will have 3 pins in the through-hole LED the middle pin is common pole. The pins on both sides are positive and negative, corresponding to one color. For this two color LED, you can take it as a combination of Red Throguh-hole LED and Blue Throguh-hole LED, the pin in both side can control the color. When the current pass through the red pin, the led will emits just red color and when the current pass the blue pin, it will be light up blue color. When you light up all the pins together, then it will mix red and blue together and turn to purple. This combination of bi-color LED are also available in different color, such as Yellow LED with green through-hole LED or even different wavelength IR LED ect.
