This is 970nm LED with 1W high output for through-hole LED. Normally, 1W LED have handle about 350mA current when they packaged with SMD LED case that have a heat stink on the bottom of the SMD LED case for heat dispation. But, when this 1W LED bare die was packaged by through-hole LED, our suggest that make sure the operation current under 250mA. With this way, it can effectly make this IR LED have a longer lifespan. Through-hole LED do not have that ability to dispatch the extra heat as well as SMD LED. So if you really need to design your product with 1W through-hole LED, please make sure the operation is under 250mA for the better service of through-hole LED. However, through-hole LED might cannot work as good as SMD LED on heat dispation, it do can make this IR LED have kinds of viewing angle for your choose. Such as, 60 degree, 30 degree, 90degre ect. y970nm high power IR LED .970nm-980nm LED. Different angle will make different lighting result, the more narrow beam width, the more longer radiation distance. By contrast, the wider beam width, the bigger lighting surface area.
