Magnesium Oxide Stabilized Zirconia (MSZ) – Magnesium Oxide Stabilized; Suitable for High Temperature Applications; Resistant to Phase Transformation at High Temperatures; Heterogeneous Microstructure Prevents Grain Boundary Sliding; Transformation Tough; High Fracture Toughness

Yttria Stabilized Zirconia (YTZP) – Yttria stabilized; fine-grained microstructure dominated by tetragonal phase; extremely high strength and toughness; service temperature below 500°C; phase change toughening to resist crack propagation; superior Chemical resistance; excellent wear resistance

Cerium Dioxide Stabilized Zirconia (CSZ) – Cerium dioxide stabilizes high temperatures and high or low pH environments; transitions tough; maintains strength under steam and pressure conditions; ceria fills vacancies in the crystal structure and prevents low temperature degradation

Zirconia Toughened Alumina (ZTA) – Zirconia toughened alumina; 20-30% stronger than alumina and less expensive than stabilized zirconia. Transformation and upgrade; higher toughness, hardness and wear resistance than alumina.
