Zirocnia Ceramics:

For small products of zirconia structural ceramics or products with complex shapes. A hot die casting method is generally employed. The molding method is relatively simple, and is particularly suitable for producing small and medium-sized products with large batch sizes or complicated shapes. However, the zirconia hot die-casting products are prone to cracking, deformation and other defects when wax is discharged. This is because the zirconia ceramic slurry has a small particle size and a large specific surface area of the powder. When the hot die-casting slurry is prepared, the paraffin and oleic acid are added. The amount of people should be significantly higher than other ceramic products, resulting in large shrinkage of the green body, and cracking, deformation and other defects are likely to occur when wax is discharged. Therefore, when debugging the slurry, it is necessary to master the amount of paraffin and oleic acid added and the way of adding people, and design a reasonable wax firing curve and other related process parameters to avoid the above defects. Small and medium-sized zirconia ceramic products with simple shapes and suitable for dry pressing are often formed by dry pressing. The common problem that occurs when zirconia ceramics are dry pressed is the stratification of the product. This is because the particles of zirconia ultrafine granules are very fine, so the particles are light and have poor fluidity, and delamination tends to occur during dry pressing. From the production practice, it is known that the product stratification has a relationship between the smoothness and fit of the molding die, the molding pressure, the pressurization mode, the pressurization speed and the dwell time, the demolding mode, and the demolding speed.
