Zirocnia Ceramics:

Zirconium oxide is the main oxide of zirconium. It is usually white, odorless and odorless crystals, and hardly soluble in water, hydrochloric acid and dilute sulfuric acid. It usually contains a small amount of cerium oxide. It is chemically inert and has high melting point, high electrical resistivity, high refractive index and low thermal expansion coefficient, making it an important high temperature resistant material, ceramic insulating material and ceramic sunscreen. It is also the main raw material for artificial drilling. The band gap is approximately 5-7 eV. When it is low temperature, it is monoclinic, and a tetragonal crystal form is formed at 1100 ° C or higher, and a cubic crystal form is formed at 1900 ° C or higher. Stabilized zirconia can be used in the production of high-performance kiln furniture for electronic ceramic firing, that is, electronic burning board. Stabilized zirconia is also used in oxygen sensors and fuel cell separators because of its unique ability to freely move oxygen ions in the crystal structure under high temperature conditions. This high degree of ionic conductivity (and low electrical conductivity) makes it one of the most useful electrical ceramic materials. Zirconium oxide is mixed with alumina to form coarse abrasive particles, which are used as a combination of grinding wheels and coated abrasives for sanding steel and metal alloys.
