Overview



Negotiation method

There are two ways of port aggregation, one is manual and the other is auto-negotiation.
The manual method is very simple, set the mode of both ends of the port member link to "on". The command format is:

The N-net NT-IN112 Industrial Fast Ethernet POE Switch series is 10/100Base-TX to 100Base-FX Industrial Fast Ethernet Media Converter with single fiber port and 2 copper ports.

There are two types of automatic methods:
PAgP (Port Aggregation Protocol) and LACP (Link aggregation Control Protocol).

 The converters are able to extend transmission distance of network up to 120Km via fiber port, and the UTP port can operate at 10M or 100M application.

PAgP: Cisco device port aggregation protocol, there are two modes of auto and desirable.
The auto mode only receives and does not send during the negotiation, and the ports in the desirable mode send and receive the negotiated data packets.

NT-IN112 Industrial Fast Ethernet POE Switch series is packaged in a compact IP40 case that allows either DIN rail or panel mounting for efficient usage of cabinet space.

LACP: Standard port aggregation protocol 802.3ad, with active and passive modes.
Active is equivalent to PAgP's auto, and passive is equivalent to PAgP's desirable.

 It provides an integrated power supply with a wide range of voltages for worldwide operation. It also offers dual-redundant, reversible polarity 12V DC to 48V DC power supply inputs for high availability applications requiring dual or backup power inputs.

NT-IN112 Industrial Fast Ethernet Switch series is complied with IEEE 802.3at High Power over Ethernet technology (optional). It is backward compatible with 802.3af PoE standards to allow users flexibly deploy standard and high powered devices simultaneously with no need of software configuration. With Data and Power over Ethernet from one unit, NT-IN112 Industrial Switch series can reduce cables deployment and eliminate the need for dedicated electrical outlets on the wall, ceiling or any unreachable place.
