The pets heating pad is made to attain a maximum temperature of 42 degrees Celsius whether it is covered or not. Due to the new PTC technology is simply impossible for the heating pad to ever overheat ensuring a consistently comfortable use of the mat.

A more practical heat rise of 20-30 degrees Celsius is usually maintained above ambient conditions. Since the heating pad works on dynamic heat transfer, it should maintain a temperature slightly warm to the touch until body contact is made.
