The STE-8408M is a gigabit media converter designed to convert 1000BASE-FX fiber to 1000Base-T copper media or vice versa. It offers 2 Gigabit SFP Port for Fiber in and Fiber out, together with 2 Gigabit Tx ports for gigabit ethernet connections. Users can connect a PC that is equipped with Gigabit LAN adapters, gigabit ethernet switches to the STE-8408M Gigabit media converter.
Designed under IEEE802.3z/AB, 10/100/1000Base-T and 1000Base-SX/LX standards, the STE-8408M is designed for use with Dual or Single, Multimode or single-mode gigabit SFP modules utilizing the SC connectors. The STE-8408M gigabit media converter extends the network from gigabit multimode fiber 550m to gigabit Single mode fiber 100Km. With 2 Gigabit Ethernet ports, the STE-8408M is popularly applied in Gigabit Fiber to gigabit ethernet Chain solutions.
