The AMB-3L-150W LED high bay light is at maximum brightness within seconds of being powered on .It also has no hot re strike delay which means that when on ,It can be turned off and straight back on again without delay ,Conventional metal halide globes require off .time of the gas inside the globe to cool down sufficiently before they can be re started ,this results in a hot re strike (on-0ff-on) time of up to 15-20 minutes making metal halide lights unsuitable for frequently turning on and off .Frequent power cycling also significantly reduces the life span of metal halide lights due to electrode degradation inside the globe .there is no such electrode within an LED and no significant reduction in life span when power cycling
