Product Description
Product Description
This device provides a low cost solution for delivering power over the network cable. This scheme allows power
To be carried on 10/100 networks over the spare, unused pairs of a CAT5, CAT5E, or CAT6 Ethernet network cable.
The source power could be the power supply that came with the wireless access point, IP video surveillance
Camera, etc. Or it might be another power supply.
This set contains a very cost effective injector and breakout or splitter component. The injector inserts the DC
Voltage at the source location into the injector plug. The DC voltage is then carried over the spare pairs of the
10BASE-T or 100BASE T network cable. The breakout or splitter extracts the DC voltage from the network cable
Onto the splitter jack. This eliminates the need for an AC power outlet nearby any equipment being installed in
Ceilings, on outside walls or other locations, where power outlets are not conveniently installed. Under the right
Conditions, with standard PoE injectors, power may be carried over a certain distance limitation of a single network
Cable run.
Application:
Complete set for wide range of network products such as Access Points, Routers, IP cameras, modems,
Switches, embedded computers or other network devices such as D-Link, Ovislink, Senao, Wline, RouterBOARD,
WRAP boards and other devices using passive POE injection.
Data:
Connector Barrel size is 2.1mm (5.5 x 2.1 mm)
Power Pins 4, 5 + and 7, 8 -
Data Pins 1, 2, 3, 6
1. It is very simple to connect a passive PoE. On the lower part, we connect the Ethernet
RJ connector of passive PoE to the PC, Hub or Switch and connect the power adapter
To the power socket.
2. On the opposite end (RJ socket) we connect the Ethernet cable leading to the far end.
3. At the far end, we connect the end of the Ethernet cable to the RJ socket and connect
The power connectors and the Ethernet to the powered equipment. The equipment is now
Connected by them.
