Overview
R2 SOHO Broadband Gateway/Router is a purpose-built solution designed for SOHO enterprises and broadband communities.
With UTT self-developed operating system ReOS SE, R2 delivers a high security, easy-to-use and low cost platform for UTT customers. It not only supports common features such as NAT, bandwidth management, PPPoE Server and IP/MAC binding, but also offers access control, security management and network maintenance.
2-WAN port design offers multiple choices for ISP connections and real-time backup and load balancing. It also supports policy-based routing of different ISPs.
Features
Load Balancing and Backup
Supports load balancing and real-time backup. When two Internet connections are set up, one can set as the primary connection and the other one as the backup connection. The two connections can also be set in load balancing mode, which means the device will distribute the connection according to different IP address or NAT session. Furthermore, it also supports policy-based routing of different ISPs.
Plug-and-play
Support Plug-and-play. Using this function, the internal network users do not need to modify any settings. This means whenever the IP Address, MAC Address, gateway and the DNS Server changes, users can always access the Internet through the Device. This capability greatly facilitates hotel users and business users who are required to access the Internet anywhere at any time.
PPPoE Server
Internal users can access the device by using PPPoE. PPPoE Server is a secure and easy method to prevent ARP attacks and IP spoofing, completely solving the most common problems of networks. Through PPPoE account management, the administrator can control the accessing users effectively.
Bandwidth Control
Algorithm-based bandwidth control optimizes the bandwidth utilization. Restrict software such as BT and P2P effectively. Bandwidth control can also prevent the bandwidth overused by the hosts which get a virus, and make the other hosts operating properly.
Internet Access Control
Provide personalized Internet access control, which can meet all the needs of users. Each host can take a different access policy, including blocking IM software (Yahoo messenger, MSN etc.), blocking P2P software (Bit commit, Bit torrent, etc.), blocking online games (WOW.), blocking Face book and Twitter, blocking online videos (YouTube) and other abundant functions.
Supports Domain name Filtering. Users can either block websites or only allow websites. Domain name filtering will make the network management easy and convenient.
Supports IP/MAC address binding, invalid IP address or MAC address filtering and easy Blacklist and Whitelist setting. UTT router supports binding all the dynamic IP/MAC entries with only one-click operation.
VPN
Support various VPN functions such as IPSec and PPTP, which can be used alone or combined; Support dynamic IP address VPN connections; Support Site-to-site VPN, remote access VPN (client-to-site); Support 1 PPTP VPN server and 1 PPTP VPN client. IPsec VPN tunnels are restricted to 5 and up to 5 concurrent tunnels. IPSec provides features of auto key (IKE) and manual key, ESP/AH protocols, DES/3DES/AES encryption algorithm, MD5/SHA-1 hash algorithm, main mode and aggressive mode, Anti-Replay and NAT Traversal.
Support VPN failover. If the VPN on one WAN connection is down, the VPN will be automatically failover to the other WAN connections.
