Specification 

Alginate dressing is an advanced moist wound dressing, composed with biodegradable, highly absorbent alginate fiber which is derived from seaweed, available in flat and rope pattern, indicated for the moderate to heavy exuding wounds. The high integrity alginate dressing contains more guluronic acid than mannuronic acid, therefore the saturated dressing can maintain integrity and can be easily remove in on piece. Provides a moist environment for wound healing, non adherent to the wound site, minimizes pain and discofort for the patients.

Area of Use

Alginate dressing is indicated for the moderate to heavily exuding wounds, for example 

• Leg venous ulcer
• Diabetic foot ulcer
• Pressure ulcer
• First and second degree burns
• Post-operative and traumatic wounds
