Detail Description
Foam dressing is a highly absorbent dressing made from hydrophilic polyurethane foam, ideally designed for heavily exuding wounds. The soft flexible foam absorbs large amount drainage, ensures patients comfort; the top backing film protect wounds against external bacterial.
Area of Use
Foam dressing is indicated for the moderate to heavily exuding wounds, for example
l Pressure ulcer
l Leg venous ulcer
l Diabetic foot ulcer
l First and second degree burns
l Skin grafts and donor site
l Post-operative and traumatic wounds
Features
l The polyurethane foam absorbs up to 15 times its own weight in exudates, helps to reduce the risk of maceration, non-adherent to wound bed and minimizes pain when dressing change.
l Protects the wounds against external contamination and reduces risk of infection. Impermeable to fluids, allows patient to shower with the dressing in situ(Non-adhesive foam dressing needs to be fixed by secondary dressing, such as cohesive bandage or transparent film dressing, we also supply these secondary dressing).
l The high breathable backing film allows excess moisture to pass away from the wound and maintains a moist healing environment in the wound.
l The soft foam dressing can be cut into shape to fix wound in different area, adapts to body contours and enhances comfort.
