The 2 included 18650 High Drain batteries provide 4.2V at peak charge that will decrease to about 3.3 volts with use, before needing to be recharged.  This will help you monitor the life cycle of the battery. The LCD screen will flash when the battery needs to be recharged, and will stop powering the device.
