Outdoor LED Traffic Sign:

The visual requirements of signs set the viewing angle of the LEDs. Signs installed on highways, for example, require bright LEDs with a narrow beam width, but in cities with a requirement for short distance legibility a wide beam width LED is usually required.

Dicolor\'s new 15 and 30 degree viewing angle lamps are manufactured for outdoor signal and sign applications. The maximum LED junction temperature limit of +130° C enables high temperature operation in bright sunlight conditions. The lamp epoxy uses UV inhibitors to reduce the effects of long term exposure to direct sunlight.
