I've bought a couple of AC drive's from factorymation before but for smaller motors. I just looked at their website again but could not see a AC drive that has single phase input with 3 phase output for a 5hp motor. They have lots of AC drive's that will do the job with 3 phase input and 3 phase output. I could be wrong but I have always been told that AC drive's that convert from single to 3 phase top out at 3 hp and you have to switch to a Rotary Phase Converter after that.
